"Experience of surgery"

About: Antrim Area Hospital / Surgical Elective Unit

(as the patient),

I never had any operation in my life I was so scared. At the day of operation when I went for admission the staff was so good and supportive. After that I met my Surgeon she is lovely lady and very friendly. She explained everything very nicely. My Anaesthesias was really nice as well explained very well and my tension was almost gone. When I went to the theatre, everyone was so friendly and polite. After operation next step was recovery room all the nurses were fully aware of my condition every 30 minutes they were checking on me. I spent 2 days in hospital because I had a drain in. Every single nurse on duty looked after me and all other staff serving breakfast to serving dinner was absolutely lovely. My operation was for thyroid gland removal. My  surgeon did great job no one can judge I have a scar on my neck. I am still in recovery period but I’m very pleased with my ENT team members, the surgeons , the doctors , the nurses and the operation theatre staff. And I want to say big  thank you to everyone.  Love you all and big respect for you all. .
