"Lack of help and empathy"

We were made an appointment with a doctor regarding my young baby having chicken pox. Whilst the doctor was checking EN&T, my baby became agitated and I was told I wasn’t holding him right and that I’m not being helpful to the doctor. They also didn’t give us an answer, was just saying - Well, it could be. They didn’t give any advice apart from calpol, didn’t advise me on what to look for or if to come back if baby gets worse.

My baby was still crying whilst trying to put him back in his car seat, the doctor just stood waiting by the door waiting for us to leave ,didn’t offer any empathy or help. As a first time mum this made me really overwhelmed and now I dread making an appointment in case I get this doctor again. I had to walk out of the surgery with my screaming baby, it was embarrassing and I felt a little help or empathy could of been served.
