"Discharge from spinal surgery"

After spinal surgery I had a period of time in hospital, but then felt rushed out at discharge with less than 3 hours notice for family.

Thankfully the Downe rehab team were extremely responsive and supportive at discharge.  After being discharged with incorrect equipment which would have prevented me being able to use bathroom, the  Downe team organised correct equipment for bathroom along with other pieces to encourage my independence and mobility.  

Shona, Angela, Donal and Gillian could not have been more helpful, they all worked together to arrange to come into see me when it was convenient for me.  

After having a disappointing experience with the MDT of both OT and physios within the hospital setting, they have restored my faith on the benefit of having OT team and physios as part of my rehab.  They all wanted to help and improve my mobility back to baseline rather than just tick a box
