About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Stroke Rehabilitation (Wards 56 and 57)

(as a relative),

My husband took a stroke mid November and came into ward 62 and then ward 56. He had been so active, so fit and well and unfortunately due to the stroke he is now palliative. I have spoken with the nurse Victoria and would like to thank all of the staff in ward 56 as they have been exceptional totally exceptional in caring for him and the thoughtfulness and compassion that they have given to me. I cannot speak highly enough of them all I’m in awe of them all.

We are truly sorry to hear about your husband’s stroke and the significant change in his health. This must be an incredibly emotional and challenging period for you and your family.

Your kind words about the teams in Ward 62 and especially Ward 56 mean a great deal. We are deeply proud to hear that the staff have shown such exceptional care, compassion, and thoughtfulness toward both your husband and yourself.

We will ensure that Victoria and the whole team receive your heartfelt thanks it really will mean a lot to them.
