I took unwell at work and was taken round to UHH ED. I was triaged incredibly quickly and seen by a lovely doctor. I have a complicated history of spinal issues and have had several surgeries for this. My leg had also went completely numb.
I was in quite a lot of pain and that was managed quickly and I was checked on regularly. The MRI department were very caring and kind. I was taken back to ED and was seen by Anoop and eventually got home. I then attended as a Virtual inpatient (VIP) and had another MRI and again the staff were amazing and also the staff in ED. I received my results later on that day.
The care that I received was exceptional. Everyone was so kind and I was looked after really well. I would like to thank all the staff in A&E, Dr Chekroud, Anoop, and all the lovely nurses who looked after me. And also all the staff in the MRI department.
What was a scary experience was made a lot better with the reassurance and kindness of all the staff, who really cared and went above and beyond. Please pass this on to all the staff in ED and MRI as without all the care and attention it would have been a very different experience
