"They are a fantastic team"

I've had  ongoing involvement with Day Surgery in Antrim Area Hospital from maybe May 2025. I have always found the staff friendly and professional at all times.

I had surgery, and just would like to take this opportunity to thank both the Ward and Theatre Staff who looked after me. On the ward my nurse's name was Nichola. During my admission and following my surgery Nichola treated me with the utmost respect and kindness. She put me at ease and answered any questions I had and she cared for me to a very high standard.

I was also lucky to have the assistance of Ciara, Helen and Dympna. As an ex nurse, when I have had to attend this hospital I am instantly reminded of what it means to be part of the NHS and the staff in this ward do this perfectly. They are a fantastic team.

I would also like  to thank the theatre staff who cared for me also ( Megan, Lynne, Josh, Rosie and Ryan). Sometimes we do not realise how many hands it takes to care for 1 person and I was very grateful for all of you on the day of my surgery.

Finally I'd just like to thank the student nurse who cannulated me for theatre. You did an amazing job. You were so calm and confident and it's lovely to see the next generation of nurses learning from the best.
