"I felt very well looked after"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Day Surgery University Hospital Wishaw / Gynaecology (Ward 13)

(as the patient),

I was attending day surgery for a Gynae related issue and must highly praise my nurses Cheryl and Student Nurse Amy.   Both looked after me so well as did all staff.   It is a very peaceful and quiet ward run so efficiently.   Watching all staff integrate with each other and help each other out is true team work.

My consultant, Dr Ragi, was amazing at explaining everything as were the anaesthetists.

I hope not to return, but if I do I will have no anxiety about going as I felt very well looked after.

A word for Cheryl - you totally understood me and my issue and even at discharge sharing our stories - we are never alone.  Being a woman isn’t great always but when we need help the care of nurses like you make it better.   Student Nurse Amy - good luck as you end your third year - your manner is lovely and so caring.
