"Condition Treatment"

About: The James Cook University Hospital / Neurology

(as the patient),

First of all, when I was diagnosed all we got was a phone call and absolutely no follow up, it was only when I was constantly in and out of hospital they finally started the treatment after being pushed by a different neurologist. The care towards my treatment has been absolutely shocking.

I am still having problems and they don't seem to care and they just brush it away and pretend we never said anything. How am I supposed to start living my life and think about my future when they aren't doing all they can to help?

I haven't found the specialist nurse helpful at all. One time they said we will figure things out and it has been months since then and nothing has changed. I feel I am being set up to fail by these specialists.

Dear silverwarekj,

I am sincerely sorry to hear of your experience. However, I appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback. I have shared your concerns with the Neurology department, who would like the opportunity to discuss this further with you.

Please could you contact the patient experience team by email: stees.patient.experience@nhs.net or by telephone: 01642 854807, who will support with directing you to the correct clinician to investigate your concerns.

Your sincerely
