"A true asset to the NHS."

About: North Devon District Hospital / Accident and emergency South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

All the team were so very kind and helpful. As someone who hates hospitals and going into them due to past experiences, this recent night’s visit was a welcome change to that. I especially want to thank ‘Jeff’ who attended my house first on his own, I assume a first responder or alike? Although I was starting to get better by this point he was very understanding of my situation and very calmly spoken and extremely friendly. I think I have had dealings with him before and felt the same way then. Unfortunately, once at the hospital things just take forever to move along which is a shame. Please ensure my thanks and praise are passed onto Jeff as he is a true asset to the NHS.

Dear Nuthatchyf73,

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. I am pleased to hear of the positive impact Jeff had on your care and treatment. I am sure a member of the SWAST team will respond in due course and be able to share it with the staff involved.

I am sorry to hear that things took longer than you expected when you arrived in the hospital.

If you have any further concerns which you would like to discuss please do not hesitate to contact me via email. Sophie.hutchings1@nhs.net.

Best wishes
