"My son's experience"

About: Manor Hospital / Accident and emergency Manor Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

Took my teenage son to urgent care at walsall manor hospital to have a sporting injury checked on his ankle. We arrived at 8am was booked in at main reception and told to go through to Paediatrics. Was seen by triage nurse at 8:15ish who said he would need to be assessed by the minor injury team.

Sat and waited, after 2 hours I asked the same nurse how long it would take, they told us that we were not on the system. Basically my son's name was called twice at 8:50am and because we didn't answer we were discharged. My son's name was called in the main area and not in paediatrics, nobody checked where we were and just presumed we had left.

The triage nurse said they would put us back on the system and we were top of list. Waited another 45 mins to see minor injuries nurse, then a scan and then back for results.  Total time was 4 hours, no apology made. Absolute joke. Can't understand why they didn't check where we were or check in paediatrics. Very annoyed!
