"I know what to expect now"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

Michael (Orthopaedic Interface) saw me recently and I was very impressed by his manner and his listening. He was very kind and listened to my worries and my questions. He had a student with me who I unfortunately forget the name of but she was very nice too.

I was referred for a knee issue, but after his examination it was clear the hip was the issue, and the X-rays confirmed this suspicion.

He very clearly explained next steps to me, and answered all of my questions. I’m glad I’ve seen him now, as I know what to expect now and what I can do to optimise outcome (as he put in his letter!) from my potential surgery!

Dear heronnx75,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this lovely feedback. We’re very pleased to hear that your recent appointment with Mike was such a positive experience. It’s good to know that you felt listened to, supported, and clearly guided through the assessment and next steps. We’ll also make sure to pass on your kind words to the student who accompanied him.

Thank you, once again, for your feedback. Wishing you all the best and take care.

Kind regards

Beth Coggin
