"Excellent care from staff nurse"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Gynaecology (Ward 49)

(as the patient),

Maternity Unit, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Glasgow. Kayleigh was the staff nurse on ward 49. I was re-admitted after major abdominal surgery with infection and Kayleigh was just absolutely fantastic. Her care and compassion really helped me feel at ease. She was so busy (as were all the staff) but she took the time to explain things to me and would constantly  pop in to check I was ok. She made being in hospital that bit easier because I knew she was caring for me.

Dear octanscp74,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience following your stay on Ward 49 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. I’m delighted to hear that Kayleigh’s care and compassion made such a positive difference during what must have been a very difficult time for you.

Your feedback truly reflects the values we strive for in our gynaecology and acute care services – ensuring patients feel supported, informed, and cared for. I will make sure Kayleigh and the wider team see your kind words; recognition like this means a lot to staff who work tirelessly to provide the best possible care.

Wishing you a smooth and full recovery.

Kind regards,

Nikki
