"Gentle, professional and informative"

About: Children & Young People Physical Health / Children's Neuro Development Service Doncaster

(as a parent/guardian),

We saw Lisa this morning, for a ADHD post diagnosis first appt. She was gentle, professional and informative, making the process as easy as possible for my anxious teenager. Lisa took her time and so my daughter didn't feel rushed and gave lots of options to enable a sense of control.  She was able to give examples to which my daughter could respond, rather than her having to find a way herself to explain her challenges (which is something she fids hard to do). Thank you Lisa.

Good afternoon septembernt59

My name is Jola and im the Team manager of the Doncaster Children's Neurodevelopment team. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us with this feedback from your appointment with Lisa.

We're really proud of the great work our post diagnosis team do, so its excellent to hear that work has made such a difference for you and your daughter. I know from first hand experience how much compassion and care Lisa puts into her appointments, so im really happy it helped your daughter feel less anxious.

I'll be sharing this feedback with Lisa and the team, particularly the technique of providing examples to help those who find it harder to explain themselves.

Many thanks

Jola Obisesan

Team Manager
