My mother was having a pacemaker fitted at University Hospital Ayr. This went well. But unfortunately, while she was in the heart department's care, another condition (a brain tumor) became much worse and she entered end of life care. This was a very difficult for our family. However the nurses in the ward were amazing, my sister and I stayed with my mum overnight over a period of several day. The staff were just amazing, so kind, so attentive and compassionate. My sister and I are so grateful for this its difficult to express. Thank you!
