"Easing pressure off A&E"

About: Adult Disability Services / Enhanced Complex Care Team

(as the patient),

I took unwell suddenly on Friday evening. I rang enhanced complex care and Julie Ann arrived in no time and was able to liaise with Dr on rota to help stabilise my condition without having to ring an ambulance. She checked my observations and was a reassuring voice for my family at the time. Before she left my blood pressure was stabilising and I was issued an antibiotic with the assurance that there team would be monitoring me over the weekend without having to attend hospital. It is a vital service that eases the pressure of the emergency department especially when GP surgery is closed and even during the week when GP workload is stretched.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this lovely feedback on our Enhanced Complex Care service. I am glad that with the help of the service we were able to prevent you from having an attendance at ED. I will pass this onto Julieann and the wider team.
