I attended the Pre-assessment unit prior to having an operation to remove a tumour.
I was met by my assessment nurse, Lauren, and almost the first thing she said was, ”I know you”, well, the ice was broken and after a little while we established that Lauren was my assessment nurse 2 years previous when I was having a hip replacement.
A truly professional nurse who was not only polite but also friendly and supportive.
The whole procedure went well and I can’t thank Lauren enough for all that she did especially for helping me relax.
