"Very helpful and caring"

I was admitted to day surgery for hernioplasty and right from the start the nursing staff, particularly Julie, were very helpful and caring, carefully explaining to me the procedures pre- and postoperatively.

I would like to offer my especial thanks to Mr Robertson who performed the surgical procedure, and to Cassandra, the anaesthetist, who reassured me by telling me as I was in theatre that I would be taken good care of.

I also want to thank the anaesthetic nurses for looking after me postoperatively. The whole experience was an exemplar of the excellence of the NHS.
