"Young lady on reception went above and beyond"

About: St Andrews Community Hospital

(as a service user),

I arrived at St Andrews hospital where I was met by a young lady on reception. From the minute I entered I felt at complete ease. I was late for my appointment due to my bus not arriving on time. When I explained to the lady she was more than welcoming and assured me it was fine to be vaccinated. I explained how anxious I was about getting home as I don’t know the bus times. The lady went above and beyond and told me to go have my flu jag and she would find me a bus home. As I was leaving I was handed details of a few buses and times that I could catch. Absolutely overwhelmed by this experience. I really hope I am greeted by this young lady every visit.

Going above and beyond in this way reflects the standard of care we strive for across our service.
