"Moved in the pouring rain at the dead of night"

About: Whipps Cross University Hospital

(as a service user),

Just heard tonight at 17:23 that my elderly mother is being moved to another hospital in the pouring rain at the dead of night. I believe, from having worked in the NHS, that this can expedite an elderly person's death because of the trauma it can cause.

This is not only upsetting but, in my opinion, unnecessary, why they couldn't leave it until the morning.

We feel the way we have been treated generally is unacceptable.

Dear Rosebud60

Thank you taking the time to share your feedback about Whipps Cross University Hospital. We are very sorry to hear about your mother's poor experience. We will share your comments with the relevant service.

If you have not already done so, we recommend raising your concerns with the Site PALS Team, who can look into this locally on your behalf. They can be contacted by email at WXPals.bartshealth@nhs.net or Tel. No. 020 8535 6438. Please ensure you have your mother's NHS or hospital number if you decide to get in touch, as this will aid their enquiries.

Kind regards
