I've felt constantly disappointed by the lack of knowledge of GPs//Locums at this surgery. Let me explain:
I had visited the surgery over 3 times now to discuss my severe right leg pain. But every time I've been just given tablets and no other suggestion unless I pushed for it. I'm really really disappointed by the handling of my situation so far. I had to request referral for Physio at Reach for Health, then Xray and then MRI. None of this was forthcoming/suggested by the GP/Locum.
I now find that my sugar levels could also be potential cause for nerve damage/pain. And the GP hasn't suggested a blood test as I had pre-diabetic sugar levels in my last test and it can contribute to my nerve pain in leg.
Is it the patient's responsibility to tell the GP what tests should be done or what service should be accessed for a given situation?
I found this to be ridiculously incompetent health service delivery.
