"Australian travellers' first class experience"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Critical Care Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

My wife and I are from Australia and we were travelling in Cornwall in November 1925.  My wife fell ill - we found later she had Influenza A which developed into pneumonia and subsequently a very serious condition known as DKA.

We went to A&E at the Truoro campus where we received immediate and excellent attention and care.  My wife's condition deteriorated and was subsequently treated in ICU.  Her treatment at all times was of the highest standard and we couldn't speak more highly of the NHS and all the people we encountered at the hospital.

On behalf of my now recovering wife and myself, a heartfelt thank you.
