The Cardiac Rehab Centre has provided me with a couple of months of really useful bi-weekly group rehabilitation.
Each session lasted approximately one and a half hours, comprising a 15 minute warm up followed by a session of circuit training of 10 different exercises and ending with a 10 minute cool down. The sessions were held in a bright airy studio to appropriate accompanying music. On occasions, there was a short presentation/discussion on related health natters at the end of the exercise session.
The sessions are conducted in a friendly atmosphere where staff lead you through simple exercises giving advice on the best methods of execution to achieve optimum benefit.
The staff emphasize that participants exercise at their own respective levels and abilities, impressing upon everyone that there is no element of competition.
Staff are attentive to individuals' personal limitations and I was impressed with their attention to cleanliness of equipment.
"A friendly atmosphere"
