"A hand injury"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Plastic surgery

(as a service user),

I severed my finger at work and needed it removed to the first joint. Every member of the team I have seen has been amazing, from the surgeon, Mr Ali, who kept me informed and reassured and managed to see me for my procedure despite there being lots of emergency cases. To the nurses who supported me during the surgery, and all the staff on the wards, we have nothing but positive words and thanks to give to everyone.

From a personal perspective it would be lovely if there was a plastics service available at our local hospital in Barnstaple which would save a 3 1/2 round trip, but the service itself has been wonderful

Dear Farm Worker,

Thank you for your positive feedback. I will pass this on to the members of the team involved in your care. Thank you for travelling so far to attend your appointment, we recognise the need to expand our services. Hopefully this is something we can achieve in the future. Thank you again and we hope you recover well from your procedure.
