I have been under the care of Mr Kasis at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust for nearly 2 years now and cannot praise him enough

He diagnosed the problem with my lumbar spine at L5/S1 and advised on the treatment options 

I have suffered with lower back pain for many year but it has been particularly troublesome and painful for the last 3 years 

From first meeting him I was put at complete ease and he instilled complete confidence in me that he would do his utmost for me

This culminated in an ALIF procedure at the end of October 2025 and since then I cannot thank him enough for agreeing to operate on my spine

I am progressing well and cannot praise his team and the team on ward 10 and 15 at Wansbeck General Hospital enough

The care I received was exemplary from the moment I walked onto ward 15 to when I was discharged from ward 10

Mr Kasis is, undeniably, a true asset to Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.  His skill, knowledge and care are second to none and I count myself as privileged to have been cared for by him

My recovery from surgery is ongoing and I will have regular follow-up with Mr Kasis but I know that he has given me and my spine the best care and attention possible
