"No x-ray available"

About: United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust / Skegness-Comunity Diagnostic Centre

(as the patient),

I am in my late 70s, and was referred by Skegness Beacon Practice to the new  Skegness Diagnostic Centre for a hip x-ray.

I travelled there and was told machine was being serviced. Come back again. Travelled there again the next day. Told they have come back to service the machine again! No x-ray available.

My question? How come a new machine is having so many services? Would it be better if I took the picture on my Kodak Brownie?

Stressful!  .... Time consuming! .... Pathetic!

Firstly; I would like to say that I am extremely sorry that you have had reason to complain about the service you received when attending for an x-ray at Skegness community diagnostic centre and would like to thank you for raising these concerns.

Unfortunately, it is difficult to fully investigate this issue without further information. I would encourage you to discuss your concerns with PALS/ complaints team, to allow me to provide a full review.

Genuinely listening to our patients experiences of care is extremely important to us and learning from where we could have done better is a corner stone to our journey of continuous improvement.

Kind regards,
Sarah Clapham
Radiology Operations Manager
