"Thoroughly professional and supportive"

About: New Victoria Hospital / Cardiac rehabilitation

(as the patient),

Initially I was a little apprehensive about attending the classes following a heart attack in June. I needn't have been. Like the treatment I received in QEUH and The Golden Jubilee, the team at New Victoria were thoroughly professional and supportive. After a short while I began to look forward to the classes, enjoying both the group circuit training and the individual gym sessions. I did go to the gym prior to June, but having completed the rehabilitation classes I find working out on my own far more rewarding and beneficial. I would recommend attending the full course of sessions. Thanks everyone.

Hello Muscarb67

My name is Zahida, I’m one of the cardiac rehabilitation nurses at the New Victoria hospital. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience of the exercise sessions you attended within the cardiac rehabilitation department.

I’m delighted that you felt the team were thoroughly professional and supportive, it sounds as if you greatly enjoyed coming along to the circuit classes as well as the gym. I’m really pleased you found exercising on your own to be both rewarding and of benefit.

I will certainly feedback your kind comments to the wider cardiac rehabilitation team, who I’m sure will be pleased by your kind comments and also that you would recommend cardiac rehab to anyone with a heart related condition to help with recovery.

We wish you well with your future exercise journey and all the best for the future.

Best Wishes

Zahida
