"Warm & accommodating approach"

About: Parent Support Link

(as a service user),

Michelle helped me and my family deal with a family member struggling with addiction. She was very accommodating and had an approach which helped us understand each other and the situation at home better. Some counselors/therapists can be overbearing and not allow time to speak/think, but Michelle was very good at letting us process our thoughts and feelings without rushing us. As well as this, her way of enquiring and taking a neutral stance was beneficial to us all, including the flexibility she had when sessions carried on a little longer than usual. Overall, I'd really recommend the service and Michelle for anyone who has a family member struggling with addiction.
