I recently had cataract surgery at the Queen Margaret Hospital. I just want to thank all of the staff in the Cataract Unit!
This was my 1st cataract surgery and I really felt very anxious! From the minute I spoke to the reception staff to speaking to the surgeon at the very end, I honestly couldn't fault them! They all made me feel at ease and there was a very warm and very caring attitude within the whole unit. They were very understanding of my anxieties!
The staff were very thorough and explained the whole process and what I may experience during the procedure. My details were checked, double checked and then checked again in the theatre again. Even whilst waiting for the eye drops to dilate my eye, the surgeon came out to introduce herself, she is the loveliest lady ever and I felt even more at ease after chatting to her too!!
My vision has improved 100%!! My vision in my right eye is so sharp now and the colours seem so vibrant!! I will be going back to have the cataract removed in my left eye at some point, but I pray that it's the same staff that will be there!! I definitely wouldn't feel as anxious as the next time I have to go there for surgery!!
I can't even begin to tell all the staff in the Cataract Unit at the Queen Margaret Hospital how much I really appreciate you giving me my vision back and the care I received was amazing!!
"The care I received was amazing!!"
