"I have Parkinsons"

About: Specialist Therapy Services / Mid Notts Community Neuro Rehab Team

(as the patient),

I was having difficulty with everyday living. Not Moving about easily, falls, struggling getting up from my chair. All the basics of every day life. Was feeling insecure. The neurological physiotherapist team were involved and I had 2 visits a week at home.

They were friendly, caring and encouraged me to do the various exercises which helped with all my difficulties. I have not had so many falls, my movements are more fluid and I generally feel much better in myself. People outside the family have noticed the difference, Although the hospital physiotherapists were great I have got more benefit from the home visits as it was in my home environment and tailored to my home life needs. I am really grateful for all the help given
