My granny who has dementia was rushed into hospital, without the help of the dementia companions and Brendan in particular, we would have been left to our own without any help or any further understanding. Granny was then brought back into hospital and Brendan was straight down to A&E to help her again, he takes so much time and compassion with each off his patients as if they were his own family. We could not have asked for anymore help with him, nothing was too much to the dementia companions. This is a vital service to the SWAH.
