In the last 6 months my partner and I separated unfortunately, my health visitor Meghan (based in Airdrie) has been an absolute superstar helping me navigate becoming a single parent as this was obviously a big change to our son who was finding it really difficult.
Meghan made referrals to the local CAMHS for my son to be accessed in so I could best help him understand and process the changes. Meghan has also helped me with advice on nursery placements as my son had to leave his previous nursery due to the breakdown. He is now thriving and has came on leaps and isn’t the same boy he was 6 months ago. The transformation is phenomenal!
She has also made referrals to Speech and Language as he has a few wee issues with how he pronounces certain words etc. which for me is fantastic.
She has also helped me with a letter for my housing application so my son and I will hopefully soon have a home which we can call our own.
I don’t know where we would be right now if it wasn’t for all of her help and advice. Meghan truly has gone above and beyond and I cannot thank her enough.
