"Exceptionally caring, gentle and kind"

About: Fife Community Services / District Nursing

(as the patient),

I had a leg amputated a few months ago and recently had a major panic regarding the state of my other leg.  One morning I rang my local nursing team (Airlie District Nurses) and left a message asking for someone to take a look at my leg as I was more than a little worried about it. That afternoon on the same day, the district nurse team members turned up to take a look as they said they had heard the upset in my voice. They checked my leg and assured me there was no wound and that it just needed a light dressing.

Since that day, they have visited me twice a week to re-dress my leg, and they have always had smiles, humour and reassurance for me. The whole team are exceedingly kind and every one of them  are exceptionally caring, gentle and kind. They really are a lovely team and it makes such a change for me to not worry about who will turn up each time. Thank you Airlie District Nurses - you're all amazing!

Dear Lomond1963, thank you so much for taking the time out to send us your lovely feedback. I know the District Nurses strive so hard to deliver person centred care which includes being kind and caring They would always want people to feel reassured and happy with the care they deliver. I know they will really appreciate your kind feedback and I will ensure it is shared with them, thank you
