"First Class - Thank you!"

About: St John's Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a carer),

My wife was really sick recently and so rushed her up to the hospital but by the time we got there she was struggling to breathe and stay awake.  I parked the car behind the Ambulances thinking I was going to rush her into the waiting room but by the time I got the wheelchair I felt like things had got worse so I began to yell for help. Just like you see on tv/movies a team of angels surrounded us and immediately took care of her with one very kind doctor reassuring me and sorting me to a waiting area. God Bless all these people.

I have always found St Johns Hospital in Livingston Scotland amazing!! But what I experienced was 1st class!! Thank you guys.

Background about me and my wife....is we unfortunately have had to use the hospital services alot due to my wife's chronic illness but we never use them for anything lightly or for anything other than serious/lifethreating times and I can honestly say this place must be one of the best performing in the country even after everything they are up against with the NHS crisis.  Whoever manages their A&E should get a raise and the a&e model should be being replicated around the country. I have been there at quiet time and busy time and just think this place works very well!!

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

Thank you very much for your kind words. I will pass them on to the A&E team.

I hope your wife has recovered, or is recovering from, the immediate issue she was facing and I'm so glad we were able to help her so swiftly. This is what we see as our role in the NHS and will endeavour to continue despite the various issues we are experiencing to which you allude.
