"Heart failure"

About: Specialist Therapy Services / NNE Heart Failure Team

(as a service user),

I was admitted to hospital for an unrelated matter. While i was there, i was diagnosed with heart failure. I felt really upset about and there was talk pacemakers and venricles performing at catastrophically low rate.

When i was discharged, my care in the community was passed to Ellen. She was very calm and really took the time to listen to me and put all the scary news into perspective. She altered my medication to meet my needs.

A few months after being diagnosed, Ellen rang me to say the medication was working and my numbers were within the normal range. She even rang me so I didn't have to wait until our next appointment. She was wonderful and I will be forever grateful

Dear geminidc79,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of our service. I'm sorry to hear that you've had a difficult time lately with your health.

It's positive to hear though about your experience with Ellen, and how you now feel more informed and in control of your new diagnosis - I will make sure the feedback reaches her.

All the best for your future health and wellbeing.

Kind Regards

Ilona
