I wanted to write in about the care that I received at Daisy Hill last week. I think that people are often quick to criticise but less keen on reporting when things have gone well. After attending Urgent care for very high blood pressure, I was sent upstairs to the ambulatory day assessment ward. the care that I received from the team was nothing short of exceptional. I was quite nervous, as I have not had a hospital visit in a number of years but everyone made me feel at ease.
The doctor's and nurses that cared for me kept me well informed about everything that was going on and explained everything really well. I really did feel like no stone was left unturned with their investigations and I left the hospital feeling a lot calmer than when I went in.
I would really like to thank everyone on the ward from the support staff who kept me well fed! to the nurses who checked my blood pressure. I would particularly like to thank Dr Truman who made a referral to the renal team (who were so quick, they called whilst I was still on the ward!) and student nurse Cliobhna who was so lovely and kept me calm whilst having my bloods taken.
I could not fault the care I received, and have been telling everyone about my positive experience. Thank you so much Daisy Hill Ambulatory team!
