"I feel so disappointed and let down by this practice"

About: The Scott Practice

(as the patient),

I have been a patient of the Scott practice since it began.  Recently I have been disgusted with the digital appointment system, the confusing system to book an appointment and the difficulty in then seeing a GP face to face.  I am considering changing practice as the system is so bad.

I cut my finger and wasn't sure whether it needed medical attention.  I attended the pharmacist at the practice who suggested I nip next door to let the practice nurse have a look and advise whether I needed to attend minor injuries.  I attended the Scott practice.

There were 2 other people in the waiting room (both together) and they were called in to see the GP.  The receptionist asked me to wait so I could speak to the nurse and they went to the room where the nurse was situated.  The nurse refused to come out to see me and just stated I needed to attend the A&E minor injuries unit.  I have no idea how they could make that assessment without seeing me or speaking to me.

I found their attitude uncaring, unprofessional and totally unacceptable. There was no-one in reception waiting to see them. It would have literally taken 2 minutes of their time.  I attended at DRI and wasted the time of staff there and wasted my own time as the injury would heal fine.

For me, this is the last straw at Scott Practice. I have made the decision to transfer to a more reputable and compassionate practice.  I feel so disappointed and let down by this practice, who simply do not seem to care and whose convoluted electronic patient booking system must mean that so many patients give up without seeking the medical attention that they require.

Poor attitude. Poor service. Certainly not good enough and not what I would expect.
