As a Mum of two it was lovely to be able to attend a free class with just my newborn and I after dropping my eldest to school!
It was brilliant that the class was held on my door step - which made me feel more confident and comfortable about heading out to attend a mother and baby group in my local area. Over the last 4 weeks it was lovely to meet and share stories with other mums exchanging advice and become a support network to each other which is much needed when you are on maternity leave!
The baby massage was an extra bonus it was lovely to learn new skills and techniques on how to provide your baby with a beneficial massage to reduce reflux and colic etc. The massage movements are now something I use regularly after bathing my baby and it has created a lovely routine before bedtime and developed a great bond time between us. Leanne the Child Health Assistant from the Health Visiting Team made created a welcoming, safe and calming environment for all mums to enjoy time with their baby! It was also great that a local Health Visitor was there to answer any questioned asked. The only thing that would improve this would be if more sessions were available.
"safe and calming environment"
