"A safe place"

About: Parent Support Link

(as a service user),

It started when my son who was in his late teens became psychotic due to smoking cannabis. He had mental health issues, became very verbally aggressive. My husband and I were really distressed by his behaviour. A friend recommended PSL for support. I have been attending PSL for support since 2016 when it happened. I feel its a safe place for me to share what we are going through with others who are in similar situation.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It sounds like you and your family have been through a difficult time. It must have been very hard to see your son struggling and to deal with the impact it had on all of you. I’m glad to hear that you found support through PSL — having a safe and understanding space where you can talk openly and connect with others who truly understand can make such a difference. Your strength in seeking help and continuing to attend for support is really admirable.
