"Constantly encouraging and motivating"

About: New Victoria Hospital / Day Clinic (Older People and Stroke Services)

(as the patient),

The small classes were run for 10 weeks for those recently diagnosed with Parkinsons.

Great idea and everyone really enjoyed it including the social interaction. Staff were amazing, constantly encouraging and motivating us to complete the circuit.

I hope the hospital keep this going for future patients as it was very worthwhile

Dear waterpg89

Thank you for sharing your experience of the Parkinson’s classes. We’re delighted to hear that the 10-week programme was helpful, enjoyable, and that the combination of exercise, support, and social interaction made a positive difference for you.

Your kind words about the staff are greatly appreciated. The team works hard to create a welcoming and motivating environment, and it is wonderful to know that their encouragement helped you and others get the most out of the sessions.

We’re also grateful for your feedback on the value of the programme. Hearing that it was worthwhile and beneficial for those recently diagnosed is incredibly important, and your comments will be shared with the service to support future planning.

Thank you again for taking the time to provide us with your feedback it really does mean a lot to the staff.

Kevin

Hi waterpq89,

Thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback about your experience with the Parkinsons exercise classes at the New Vic.

I'm delighted to hear that you enjoyed the classes, including the social interaction element of them. These classes are relatively new, so it's great to hear that you found them worthwhile. I'm particularly glad to hear that you found the staff encouraging and motivating.

I've passed your feedback on to the staff involved, and they are very grateful for your kind words, so thank you for taking the time to feedback.

I hope you are continuing to see the benefit of the classes now they are finished, and wish you the best with the ongoing management of your Parkinsons.

Many thanks,

Laura
