"Helped me feel calmer and more relaxed"

About: Victoria Hospital / Cardiology

(as a service user),

I arrived at my cardiology appointment in a bit of a bad way, having just climbed the stairs I was struggling with a high heart rate and sitting upright in the waiting area. The staff were very helpful and acted quickly to help alleviate the symptoms and distress I was experiencing. Edward was particularly kind and empathetic which helped me feel calmer and more relaxed. Thank you also to the lady who set me up with an ECG (apologies, I was a bit too out of it to get her name) and to Dr Anwar to stayed for further tests. It was clear that the department was quite stretched and I'm very grateful that the staff took the time to help me while I was struggling.

Thank you for your posting on care opinion regarding your recent cardiology appointment. I am glad you felt Edward and I reacted well when you stated you were feeling unwell and also that you were able to carry on with the further tests of which Dr Anwar supervised.
