"Long wait and unable to get in contact"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Gynaecology

I have been waiting for a hysterectomy since January 2025, at the appointment with the surgeon they told me they hope to have me done and dusted by spring. 

Spring has come and gone, I’ve had to have my preop redone as it expired and I still have no date for my surgery. 

I have tried on numerous occasions to call the surgeons secretary and each time I’m on hold for over 20 minutes trying to get through. I have to give up as I am at work. I need this surgery sooner than later, I feel like my life is on hold waiting for a date to come through and can’t make any plans. My kids are desperate to book a holiday and can’t understand why I am reluctant to do so.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. I have called the number you’ve shared above multiple times this week and it just rings and rings with no answer. Is there an email address I can contact someone on? As I’m working full time office hours it’s very difficult for me to keep nipping out and ringing these numbers with no answers.
