"Outstanding care and treatment"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Accident & emergency Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Clinical assessment unit

(as the patient),

Fantastic care from the ED and RACU teams. I came in with high blood pressure and right sided arm pain feeling very anxious. Although there was a wait in ED, I was triaged quickly and effectively by Erin and Lauren who were extremely kind and understanding and put me at ease.  After a further wait I was assessed by a lovely doctor (I did not get her name) who was reassuring and thorough. I then went to RACU and was taken there by the most wonderful porter. I seen very quickly by Kirsty who took time to listen to the full version of my story, and who also expertly explained the next steps in my journey. Vicki then took my blood and was kind enough to make me a cup of tea. We are seriously blessed to have an NHS and such caring staff. I am so thankful for all their support.

Hi Gamergranny,

Sorry to hear you've been unwell and I hope you're on the mend. I'll pass your lovely comments on to Kirsti and Vicky! It's always great for the team to get such great feedback and reassure them that they are providing quality care to patients. In RACU we always strive to create a comfortable and safe environment for patients and to ensure a good patient journey. I'm happy that you had a positive experience despite having to use our services!

Lisa

Dear Gamergranny

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. Im delighted to hear that you felt supported and reassured throughout your journey in ED and RACU. Your kind words about Erin, Lauren, Kirsty, Vicki, and the porter will mean a great deal to them, and I'll make sure your feedback is passed on to the teams.
