"Every member of staff was caring and helpful"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Accident and emergency North Devon District Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

As a visitor to Devon I had a fall which resulted in a broken wrist/arm. I attended A&E and following x-ray it was decided that I needed surgery to fix the fracture. After applying a plaster cast I was given the option of returning to a hospital local to my home or being admitted to NDDH for surgery the following day. I chose the latter, and cannot fault the care and attention I was given. Every member of staff was caring and helpful, the nursing staff on Glossop Ward were excellent, so friendly and obliging, and the doctors and professionals involved in the surgery kept me fully informed on the procedures at every step. I am so grateful to each and everyone involved for their care and attention and for making my stay so comfortable.
