"Humiliating experience"

About: Maternity care / Ward 45 ( antenatal)

(as a service user),

Awful treatment first time round in 2021. A midwife made comments on my weight and was so unhelpful and rude. They left me in tears twice. I felt they should not be on that ward dealing with women in a very vulnerable time.

Second time round they got a young staff member up from a different ward to look at me from behind because they left me sitting in my own urine for hours after a section of my skin had been broken. Humiliating experience and given inaccurate information about when I would be allowed to leave. Had to self discharge as they let everyone else in the ward home. Put off ever going here again.

Hi thankyou so much for taking the time to give us feedback. I am so sorry you have had this experience, our aim is to give women and their families the best possible care.

Would it be possible to give you a call to discuss further so I can give feedback to staff.

Many Thanks

Susan McClarey
