"They put me right at ease and made me laugh too"

About: Dr Gray's Hospital / Out Patients Department

(as the patient),

Was very anxious about attending my appointment for bloods and an ecg. I have really bad white coat syndrome and recently diagnosed with autism and adhd. My last experience in the hospital for an ecg didnt go well so I was feeling even worse about it. I told the ladies I was anxious and they were very understanding and empathetic. They explained everything they were doing and let me take some time to calm down. They were also very mindful of my dignity (having to get boobs out) They put me right at ease and made me laugh too which helped me settle. It was such a different experience from last time and I'm very grateful to both ladies for being so professional yet down to earth. Thank you Lynne and Caitlin!

Hello Kafwan

Thank you for getting in touch and leaving such a lovely compliment about your visit and the nursing team, Lynne and Caitlin. I am sorry that your first visit was not pleasant and caused you some much anxiety about returning, but I am delighted that it went so well. Hopefully, any future visits will not cause you any further distress.

Thank you again for providing your very kind feedback, which I will share with the staff and their line manager, which they will be delighted to read. Lesley.
