(as the patient),

***** Huge Massive Thankyou ****

Gallbladder/ umbilical hernia operation.

In a world where people moan & complain, I will say I've had the most amazing, kind, empathetic NHS staff looking after me from the minute I arrived in recovery, theatre, & day surgery.. The FVRH/NHS have a lot to be proud of in this team of extraordinary individuals..

To name the names I do remember, Sheila was a special lady with grace but authority while managing her area, found the time to put me at ease but also complete all the forms required.

Mr Wilson - kind & down to earth surgeon. Next someone whose name I didn't get was Mr W's sidekick, a lovely empathetic informative surgeon who was very patient explaining everything in in tiny detail, which I felt I needed enormously.

My Anaesthetist, Ruth, was gentle and understanding, she was amazing when putting me to sleep.. Her 2 theatre nurse who understood why I had tears coming down my face, & just held my hands.

My recovery nurse (again cant even remember her name) exceptionally patient, kind, wanted best for me, wasn't afraid to ask for help.

Then to have Senior Nurse Kirsten with Nicola who were so slick, worked seamlessly to achieve a well run area, putting all the ladies at ease.

I was kept in over night in ambulatory care where I had 2 senior nurses looking after me, Linda & Catriona, both strong characters with empathy, information I could actually use, instead of jargon, wee bit cheekiness but so so caring that nothing was an effort.

In morning Gaynor & Annalise both snr nurses, Nicola again wrapped the whole experience up with Help from Emma, Trainee nurse. All 4 were efficient, making me feel Iike I was only patient.

Lastly wee Martha, the  cleaner who quietly went about her job but blethered away to make me feel comfortable.

If I could bottle this experience I would as it was seamless, couldn't of expected any more.

True credit to themselves and NHS

Thankyou

A huge thank you Macdiving for taking time to provide this fantastic feedback, I hope you are recovering well at home, it is appreciated and very welcome to hear you had such a positive experience, I am sure staff will be happy you taking time out praise them, this is all part of their role but it is very important that they hear this from their patients.

They are all fantastic teams to work with who all work seamlessly together providing the best care possible in very busy areas but ensuring each patient is cared for as an individual.

I will pass your message onto the teams and we can display your praise on our care assurance boards.
