"Incredible midwife"

We had our beautiful baby girl at the Princess Royal Maternity in Glasgow after a pretty eventful labour and I want to mention how amazing our midwife was the entire time.

Things started getting really scary when my baby’s heart rate was all over the place and I had complications with my epidural and I found myself feeling completely out of control and terrified. Our midwife Donna was such a calming presence that I felt safe in her capable hands and I knew she would take good care of me and our baby. She kept me informed throughout and made sure the doctors were also keeping a close eye on us. She showed so much care, empathy and respect towards us which made me feel more at ease with what was happening around us.

We ended up going to theatre to have our baby by forceps and even through all the chaos and everything else she had to do, she kept checking in with me to make sure I was okay as she knew how scared I was which again made me feel really safe.

Donna is an absolutely incredible midwife and we feel privileged to have had her looking after us. She is a credit to the hospital and anyone else she looks after in the future is so lucky to have her.
