"Recent robotic surgery"

I recently had a complete hysterectomy by robotic surgery under the care of Doctor Ragupathy and her amazing team at Ninewells hospital.

Having already had a salpingoophorectomy, by laparotomy, I was a wee bit apprehensive about what pain levels would be as that was fairly painful for the first few days.

The difference in pain levels has been night and day. Dr Ragupathy said it would be fine to walk my dog as soon as I felt able. Three days after surgery I was able to do this with no discomfort at all. The dog however had different ideas and refused to leave the sofa!

I just can't thank you all enough, and also the exceptional care I received in the gynae unit. I feel so very lucky and privileged.

I'd also like to thank the young female doctor in AMU, I wish I knew her name, who first noticed a problem after I'd been admitted with mild concussion after falling off a ladder when trimming a hedge. She noticed my abdomen was distended and ordered scans. I truly believe she saved my life.
