About: Causeway Hospital / Accident & Emergency Causeway Hospital / Childrens Ward

(as a parent/guardian),

Our son was displaying symptoms of diabetes, on a bank holiday weekend. We took him to Causeway Hospital where he was diagnosed and had started treatment within 3 hours.

To say his care was exceptional would be an understatement. To the Staff in A&E, right through to the Children’s Ward, we say a heartfelt thank you!

I am glad to hear that whilst attending the dept your son had a positive experience, and received a prompt diagnosis and treatment. Thank you for taking the time to leave this positive feedback. Positive feedback is important in helping boost staff morale and reminding them of the fabulous work they do. Dear Sammy2, my name is Peter Johnston and I am the Lead Nurse for Paediatrics with responsibility for Causeway Children's Ward.

It is with great pleasure that I am reading this compliment for the staff in ED and the Children's Ward. The staff in both units take great care of children newly diagnosed with Diabetes knowing these early steps have a long lasting effect on both the child and family and I am very glad that your journey has started so well.

I will share your compliment with the staff in both areas as I know that the appreciation of care really does make a difference to them.
