"Hospital stay"

About: Dr Gray's Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I was 23 weeks pregnant at the time and phoned ward 3 at DGH about increasing pain with UTI symptoms. I was seen that night by midwife Sara, Ulrike and Tracey. They were all very friendly and put me at ease. I went home with antibiotics the same night.

The next day I had a fever of over 40 and went back to ward 3. I ended up getting admitted for antibiotics. The care there was amazing. All the midwives and doctors and healthcare support workers were so friendly!

Joanne, Natasha, Becca, Hayley, Leah and Jody were some of the girls that looked after me!

A special thank you to Hayley who was on night shift for most of my stay. She was so kind and when me and my husband asked for a cup of tea we were surprised she had made up a tray with a tea pot, jug of milk and some cake and biscuits! We were only expecting a mug of tea each but this just felt special and cheered me up so much! It made that evening so much more bearable and I almost forgot I was in hospital.

Me and my husband would like to thank all the staff for caring for us and doing it all with a smile! Definitely made my stay more bearable when I was itching to go home.
